terms for using Colours.

Colours is a developing language for feeling. These terms keep clear what it is—and what it is not.

who these terms are with

These terms are between you and CustomStories Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15702594), which operates Colours. CustomStories Ltd is also the controller for personal data described in the privacy notice. Use contact for legal, privacy or support correspondence.

By using Colours, you agree to these terms. If you cannot agree, do not use the service.

the service

Colours is developing. Features, availability and the language itself may change as evidence improves. We may limit access or pause a feature to protect people, data or the service.

Keep your sign-in method and any private bearer link secure. A person with a Send link can open the Colour it addresses.

your words and Colours

You keep ownership of words and material you provide. You give the operator and its processors the limited permission needed to process it for the feature you chose and protect the service. Send words are not retained. A Colour you deliberately save may be stored privately, and a receiver-safe Colour may remain available through its Send link.

Do not submit material you have no right to use, impersonate another person, try to identify or harm someone, evade service limits, probe private systems, introduce malicious code or use Colours unlawfully. Do not treat a Colour as a factual judgement about another person.

care, health and emergencies

Colours is not a medical device, diagnosis, therapy, crisis line or emergency service. A Colour is an interpretation of what was supplied, not professional advice or a complete account of a person.

If someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or use reach a person.

accounts and payments

A Colour remains on its bearer link unless you deliberately save it to a Profile. You are responsible for keeping anything you cannot afford to lose.

The current web plan is Colours at £3.30 every three months. A charge begins only after Stripe Checkout shows the recurring price and terms and you expressly confirm it. You can update payment details or cancel through the Stripe Customer Portal; access continues or ends according to the period shown there. A plan displayed as unavailable cannot start a charge.

A plan is prepaid for the period shown at Checkout, and cancelling ends it at the end of that period rather than refunding the part you have used. Refunds are not automated and no part of Colours issues one by itself: ask through contact and a person decides. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you have a statutory right to cancel a digital service within 14 days, and where access has already begun at your request we may charge for the part you used before cancelling. Nothing here removes a statutory right.

availability and responsibility

We aim to keep Colours careful and available, but the service may be interrupted and interpretations may be incomplete or wrong. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

ending use and changes

You may stop using Colours at any time and delete an account from your Profile, or ask through contact if that control is unavailable. We may suspend or end access for misuse, security or legal requirements.

Material changes will be dated here. Continued use after a change means the new terms apply from their stated date; where law requires fresh agreement, we will ask for it.

law and complaints

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your home courts. If you live elsewhere, mandatory local consumer protections still apply.

Please use contact first so the operator can try to resolve a complaint.
